Welcome to my devlog.
I'm Ramsharan Kanwar, an environment and prop artist working primarily with Unreal Engine. I enjoy building real-time environments, creating modular assets, and experimenting with lighting and composition to tell small stories through game worlds.
I started this blog as a place to document my journey as an environment artist. While working on projects, I often end up learning small tricks, solving technical problems, or experimenting with workflows. Instead of letting those notes disappear, I decided to write them down here.
This blog will mostly contain:
- Environment art breakdowns
- Prop creation workflows
- Notes on modular environments and trim sheets
- Lighting experiments in Unreal Engine
- Optimization and real-time rendering techniques
- Occasional devlogs about personal projects
Some posts will be detailed breakdowns of environments I build, while others might just be short notes about something interesting I learned.
My goal is simple: keep learning, keep building environments, and share the process along the way.
